Linda,

I have no copy rights on the picture, I just grabbed it from somewhere else on the internet. So as far as I am concerned, go ahead and use the picture, but if you are worrying about copy rights, I cannot help you with this issue.

I am the webmaster foir our church and would like to use your "hand washing"clip art with our Parish Nurse's article regarding the flu and how to protect against it. Handwashing, as you said. is of prime importance.

I think your "hand washing" image will help bring it home and hope you will give permission to use it,

Meg,

As far as I know, the "when" only matters if you are after tender leaves that aren't bitter. For the tea mentioned above, it doesn't matter when you harvest the roots or the leaves, and it is probably a good idea to harvest all year round because if your child, or children, actually are coming down with their childhood diseases, you'd better have a nice large stock of dried roots and leaves.

If you want to read more about the usage of dandelion leaves, roots and seeds, both as an herbal remedy and as a nutritious addition to your diet, try this site:

Hi,

It does, and if you look at the "bronchitis" tag, you will find more herbal remedies for bronchitis that are safe for children, such as a mustard plaster, thyme compresses, or marjoram and oregano tea.

Hi,

Thanks for commenting. You are right, of course, and I suppose that baking soda is probably the most used non-pharmaceutical remedy for heartburn.

And yet, I prefer other means as I don't imagine the intake of large amounts of sodium can be healthy generally speaking.

Also, pregnant women are strongly discouraged to use baking soda to relieve heartburn.

Diane,

I don't have a complete list, but while you are still using a computer, amazon might provide a good selection for you. If you start out with any of the books listed at the top of this post, you will find more suggestions there and can choose what sounds best to you. I would suggest to buy an encyclopedia of herbal medicine as well as a guide to medicinal plants that grow where you are living, to start with. After looking into them you will probably have a still better idea what to get, if you need additional literature. I guess it's not the quantity that matters, but how much use a particular book is for you.

Hello,

I'm looking for all the herbal remedies I can get my hands on. If any one has a list or booklet; I would be willing to pay for it. Or, if anyone knows where I can get a complete list.

I am going to be living off the grid next year and I need all of the help I can get.

Sincerely,

Diane
